Representing Luminit (formerly POC) whose LSD® Light Shaping Diffusers were originally developed in the late 1980's. However the vast majority of designers utilizing optical technology are completely unaware of the benefits the LSD's bring. Those who are find that they can rethink basic lighting design parameters, bringing an added dimension to their product.
LSD® Light Shaping Diffusers are holographically recorded, randomized surface relief structures that enable High Transmission Efficiency, and Controlled Angular Distribution, while providing high quality Homogenized Light. Incoming light is precisely controlled within well-defined areas, thus maximizing photon utilization, making LSDs very suitable for high ambient or highly efficient light conditions.
Light Shaping Diffusers® are used in a variety of OEM/high volume applications. The unique optical designs have already solved many customer lighting problems. Currently LSD® products are utilized in the following applications:
