Knight Photonics Ltd and its associate Avantes bv. are significant suppliers and manufacturers of miniature spectroscopic measuring instruments for light source radiometry, sensing, qualitative and quantitative analysis. Fiber optics are used in many applications to collect light for analysis by miniature spectrometer and for
onward computation for analysis and or control.
For LED lighting measurement and control,these ultra compact intellegent sensors are able to measure the fundamental parameters of light output and distribution from LED's.This can be provided in absolute radiometric units with certification to a National Standard, or can measure colour irradiance parameters,or dominant,central or peak wavelength light output; light purity, centroid values, and a variety of other
key parameters.The sensors network using USB2, USB1, and bluetooth.
Microprocessor operation allows onboard calibration and signal output for control.
Knight Photonics business is to provide hardware and software solutions and integrations for applications in photonics and biophotonics, with optical sensing and imaging, as a major sector of its operations. The characterisation of all light sources
and solid state sources to qualified standards are a key provision. Applied instrumentation to monitor and control LED networks or matrices is available on
a bespoke requirement basis. Both Knight Photonics and Avantes manufacture
applied light sources.
