Traditional lighting methods are inherently resource wasteful, which, in this era of global warming, is no longer acceptable. The main problem is that almost all
Filament- based and gas discharge systems provide light in a full 360-degree arc and as a result, require reflectors to shape the light output. This type of lamp expends up to 80% of energy consumed in the form of heat not light.
The new generation of eco-friendly lighting offered by Whiteley Electronics is designed and developed in the UK and incorporates the very latest in power efficient light emitting diodes. LEDs produce a targeted light via accurate optical lenses and avoid the use of filaments that burn out or fracture. Our lighting efficiently utilises the mains power supplied helping to reduce energy consumption by up to 70%. Our systems can even generate and store energy by using solar panels and power management systems and are an ideal solution to lighting issues where mains electricity is unavailable or not cost effective to install.
The white light emitted by LEDs is proven to help with vision and increases the depth of perception. LED technology directs the light produced towards targeted areas, thus dramatically cutting pollution typical of the orange haze associated with roads and motorways.
